Hi!!....Here is 1 more saturday...and as usual....velapanti in office!..:D

so, i was seeing the news on tv sometime back and the only question every1 is asking??....will sachin be able to make that 100th run???

its true that he has a record of losing his wicket at 99 runs...but this tym i feel he wil.....just keeping my fingers crossed!

i personally think he is an optimistic person, dedicated to his work  and ya with lot of patience.
today when every1 is expecting him to play that 1 royal shot...i guess the 1 thing in his mind will be to play as much as he can and pull out india from this tough situation which they are in now.
i like to see him playing on field with his usual expression..."calm"...as ever!!

so mr. little master" wishing you tonnes of luck for that royal shot"!!!..............:-)

HAPPY DAYS( graduation days)...!!

Gud morning!

Today, I thought of writing about my graduation days....fondly  remembered as HAPPY DAYS!!

My decision to join ramaiah was all of sudden....biotechnology padhne ka bhoot sawar tha mujh pe!...aur kisi  “mahapurush” ne suggest kiya...ramaiah se better kya ho sakta hai!!....tathastu!!

Landed in Bangalore for the first time on 29 june 2005 aur aakh band karke ramaiah mein admission le liya!!...shifted to hostel and realised it’s more of a haunted place!....girl and ghost...awesome combo!!....we have spent endless nights discussing  mr. Ramaiah’s ka ghost and whether rani mukherjee  can play the lead role in exocist!!....:-p

Classes started and as it happens 8am classes, funny teachers and there expressions, symposiums, seminars, lab experiments whose results never came...all bacteria and fungi were scared of us...in short 30% crap entered my mind and 70% didn’t even touch my antenna.....eekkss!!..........:D

Few KODAK moments are, our chemistry teacher’s looonng hair and walking style(3^rd yr), and her super funny temper, specially calling guys 4 classes at 8 in the morning..dat English teachers latke jhatke, funny pronunciation of that microbiology teacher(lady ravan!!), sleepy English classes(HIDIMBA)....BARBODY!! (poor guy), sonali-shiasta titanic posses, all those trips, those stupid questions of professors and guys scratching their head to find the nearest suitable answer!!.....:D

The only good thing I discovered about myself was my imitating capability!!....yes!!...bachke rehna!!....:D

I had taken out my frustration by imitating every single professor I use to hate....live telecast in audi!!...;-p

Hostel life was mast....shooping, eating, sleeping, velagiri on BEL ROAD,those long girly chatting sessions.....niki’s day dreaming, shanky’s mr. RNRK tattoo, sonali’s leg pulling sessions, ishita’s pranks and my 24/7 imitation channel( don’t ask me who all did I imitated)........:D

And how can I forget spinster’s party??!!....the chits which myself, ishita and niki made...and almost died of laughing!.....y we were laughing?!!.....ahm...ahm!!

I just wish I have a TIME MACHINE...would love to go back to my good old care free days!

new girl in the city...day 2!

Hi!......m back...I was writing about this misunderstood city...CHENNAI!.......... as I  continue, I stay at mylapore...yup the same place where ananyna swaminathan has her house in Chennai( 2 states)....one of the cultural hub of the city...preety close to the sea beach....:-)

It’s my turn to write about the positive side of the city...and trust me there are many:

1.     People:

Are sweet and helpful....although don’t speak my mother tongue...but communicate in English and now the world famous sign language....the thought of settling all alone in a new city was little scary for me....where will I stay, food, communication etc etc....everything was new to me....thankfully got few good friends and colleagues who are there to help me 24/7............:-)

2.     The transition phase of the city:

Chennai or still fondly known as “MADRAS” is undergoing a transition phase....the place famous for kanjeevaram saris, carnatic music and gopuuram temples is undergoing sea change...in terms of infrastructural development or becoming the next IT city or politically placing itself on the world map...the city will probably take another 2-3 years to come at par with Bangalore or other such cities...I will not be surprised if the next Obama speech mentions “CHICAGO OR CHENNAI”!!..........;-P

3.     Culture hub:

The usual complain that I hear about this city....CHENNAI...no way!!...not a happening place!!

Not really....the city has every single ingredient of a happening place...shopping malls, restaurants, night clubs, five star hotels, pubs, theatres, parties ,branded showrooms( except Louis vitton!!) etc etc....and in another six months to 1 year time,  6 new malls, 3-4 new five star hotels and my favourite HARD ROCK cafe are going to open in the city...

In short, the city is changing at a rapid speed....will love to see AKON and BRYAN ADAMS performing in the city someday.....:-)

It’s nice to see the city changing with time and i hope that it remove all the negativity around it!!............:-)

NEW GIRL IN THE CITY!

HI!....Iam roli...currently sitting in my office...killing mosquitoes...no work left but have to be there till 5pm...

so, thought of writing my blog....tittle??

NEW GIRL INTHE CITY!..........Y????
coz iam new to this city...yes chennai!
chennai???....r u mad???...u didnt any other place in this whole world is it??....delhi, mumbai isnt enough for you is it?

WHO CARES! WAT PEOPLE SAY!.....:-)

landed on this city on 1st of may..had lot of dilemma in my mind...and as expected...got few shocks!

FIRST SHOCK:

i dont know tamil and local ppl dont know english n for sure no hindi!...so we communicate in SIGN LANGUAGE!....i will tell them to go left, they will take me in right direction....FUNNY!

SECOND SHOCK:

foooodd!...roti khane wali ladki ko chaawl ka overdose doge to kya hoga???......with sambar and rasam!...was hungry for good knows how many days!

THIRD SHOCK:

the name of the places...have some or the other ancient meaning in it....and i cant prounance them..the idea of exploring the city used to scare me!

in short...i had FULL ON CULTURE SHOCK!!...:-((

HANG ON!.....everything has some negative side as well as positive side......after staying here for almost three months....i have realised...there is a lot of myth about this city....a complete unexplored island by the outer world...but wait....when HILLARY CLINTON can explore this city, why cant you??
